Frequently asked questions are listed questions and answers.

General

Do you operate a key holding service?

We do operate a key holding service and are Insured to do so. This service is offered free of charge to all our clients. Keys are kept secure within a safe. Addresses and client names are kept completely separate from keys to ensure absolute security at all times. We colour and code keys and alarm codes similarly to the system operated by an estate agent. If you loose your keys you will find this service extremely helpful, reducing the need entirely to pay the fees of a locksmith.

Do you charge extra for Weekends/Bank Holidays?

Unlike other pet services we do not charge our Clients extra during Weekends. Bank Holidays/Public Holidays are charged at double with the exception of the Christmas Holidays which incure additional charges.

Are you police checked?

Yes. For your peace of mind, all walkers have a Criminal Records Disclosure.

What do you do in case of an emergency?

We will assess the situation and call you to discuss the next steps. If we can’t get hold of you and medical attention is required, we will, so far as reasonably possible, take your dog to your veterinary practice that you will state on the registration form we will give you at our initial meeting, or, depending on the circumstance, the nearest veterinary practice. A: In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will immediately call and notify you. If veterinary assistance is required, we will take your dog to your nominated vet or to the nearest possible one depending on the circumstances.

What areas do you cover?

Our main areas are Cheam, North Cheam & Worcester Park, though we also cover parts of Banstead, Belmont, Sutton, Carshalton, Stoneleigh, Epsom, Ewell & Morden.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you have to cancel or add a walk last minute, please try to give us at least 24 hours notice. We do try to be as flexible and accommodating as possible and no charges are made for late cancellations.   Dog Boarding - a 50% deposit is required at time of booking, there will be a 50% refund of the deposit for cancellations made 72 hours before the start date of that booking.

Can you administer my pet’s medication?

We are happy to administer medication for your pet(s), in accordance with your written instructions.

Are you insured?

Are you insured?

Yes we are fully insured. This includes transportation and key cover

What security measures do you have?

Your key will be kept secure and away from personal information and no key can be identified to any property as we use colour coding methods rather than address details. In the event of your key being lost or stolen we will advise you immediately. Your personal information will never be sold or discussed with any 3rd parties in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Dog Walking

How many dogs do you walk at one time?

Our dog walks are 1-2-1 unless you request that we find a suitable partner for your dog to walk with or would like us to arrange a group walk. We never walk more than 4 dogs unless there are two walkers in which case we will walk 6 dogs. As you can see our services are flexible and we can cater for all types of doggy personalities.

Where do you walk the dogs?

Dogs are only ever taken on ‘safe walks’ in enclosed spaces or spaces away from roads so that if you permit, your dog can be let off the lead to run, play and explore.

Is my puppy old enough to be walked in a group?

If your puppy has had all of his/her vaccinations (normally the neccessary vaccinations are complete when the puppy is 12 weeks) then the puppy is old enough to be walked in a group situation. Dogs must be able to be handled on a leash, or be recalled. This will be checked during the trial period.

Do you walk dogs off lead?

Yes we do and are insured to do these types of walks. We like to get to know the dog first though so that we are confident in its recall

How do you transport the dogs to the walk location?

It depends on where we are going! If you live near a park and want a solo walk, we will walk there. If we need transportation to get to a great walking spot then we will use our air conditioned car which is fully insured for this purpose.

Do you walk in season / un-neutered / aggressive etc. dogs?

Generally, yes. In some instances we recommend solo walks only, which we specialise in anyway but we are happy to take most dogs :)

I only require occasional walks for my dog, not every week or every day, can you help?

Yes. We are happy to provide services as and when you require, assuming we have diary availability.  We recommend that you give as much notice as possible.

Dog Boarding & Doggy Daycare

What is the difference?

Doggy day care is where your dog/s stay with us for the day whilst you are out.

Dog boarding is a home from home alternative to kennels

Will my dog be left alone whilst you go out?

We never leave a dog at our home alone unless in an emergency. Both me and my partner are fully insured to care for your pets so if one of us is out walking dogs the other will be at home lavishing attention on your dog! Your dog will also come out with us on walks if you agree to group walks, otherwise he/she will have two solo walks a day whilst boarding with us
